Open Thread: Victor Wembanyama’s launching a new Spurs Fan Supporter Section
Victor Wembanyama recently announced that the Spurs are starting a new “Fan Supporter’s Section” at Spurs home games this season, inspired by the fandom of European soccer.
A Spurs press release stated “This was his idea and he will lead the group – which will be officially named by the members of the group in the future.”
Wemby will call out the loudest and proudest Spurs fans to come try out for the group on Sunday, September 14. Registration from 7-9 a.m. at the Frost Bank Center.

This will be a dedicated supporter section at Frost Bank Center – the loudest, proudest, and most relentless crew of Spurs fans in the building. And we want YOU to be part of it.
Join us for Tryouts on Sunday, September 14th at 7AM at Freeman Expo Hall with a special guest appearance by Victor Wembanyama! This is your chance to claim your spot, show your spirit, and bring the unmatched energy that only San Antonio can deliver.
